Inspection, testing and certification of electrical Installations

Duration

Three and a half days (1 day per week plus a half day assessment) plus evening exam

This certificate has been developed in association with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting. It will satisfy the NICEIC’s requirement for a Qualifying Manager and operatives fully conversant with the requirements of BS7671:2008 for the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

EACH COURSE MEMBER WILL REQUIRE A COPY OF THE IEE WIRING REGULATIONS, 17TH EDITION, BS 7671:2008 (RED COPY)

ALSO PLEASE BRING SUITABLE SCREWDRIVERS, PLIERS, SIDE CUTTERS, CABLE STRIPPERS, ADJUSTABLE PLIERS ETC AND ALSO A CALCULATOR.

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR SKILLED ELECTRICIANS WITH AT LEAST 4 YEARS POST APPRENTICESHIP EXPERIENCE INCLUDING INSPECTION AND TESTING.

IT WILL BE ASSUMED THAT COURSE MEMBERS HAVE TAKEN THE IEE, 17TH EDITION COURSE AND HAVE A GOOD GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF IT’S CONTENTS.

IT WILL ALSO BE ASSUMED THAT MEMBERS HAVE THE ABILITY TO APPLY STANDARD ELECTRICAL FORMULAE, THE ABILITY TO DEFINE ALL THE STANDARD TERMS IN BS7671 AND CAN USE A CALCULATOR, OR OTHER MEANS, TO CARRY OUT RELEVANT CALCULATIONS.
