With state of the art facilities and professional trainers with many years experience, North West Training Council (NWTC) Gas Centre in Halewood, Liverpool ( PfL Building) is in a prime position to support the up-skilling of gas engineers in and around the North West. Our comprehensive portfolio of programmes includes the following:

I have asked the engineers who attended recently for their comments and received the following replies. Generally they were all impressed with the facilities at the Training Centre, in particular the competence of the tutors, the comfortable classroom environment and the extremely well equipped training bays. All made positive comments regarding the available catering services and the luncheon arrangements. The tutorials were found to be extremely relevant and interspersed with credible anecdotal examples of ‘real life’ problems found in their everyday exposure to the industrial gas industry. The training staff at NWTC were highly commended for their in depth technical knowledge and their ability to explain in detail, the more complex and sometimes daunting array of different British Standards and IGE Gas Regulations. One consistent theme that was expounded being the tutorials did not just follow the format of the supplied text books, as had been their experience with so many previous courses at other institutions. The examination assessors were all friendly and courteous and didn’t make the engineers feel uncomfortable whilst they were being assessed for their practical competence. Finally, a mention regarding the administration of the courses. The plethora of different courses and their similar sounding names, not to mention the extremely complicated requirements for certain elements to be interdependent on other qualifications, just goes to make the administration task extremely difficult. In the case of NWTC and their administrative team, the whole procedure was extremely efficient and ran like clockwork. Which is most definitely a first in our organisations experience, so many thanks .
